MATAMOSKA

Matamoska! was formed in 2001 in East Los Angeles, California back when the Los Angeles Skacore scene was in its infancy. The band was recognized for having an eclectic mix of newer styles and older styles of ska alongside elements of Latin, punk, hardcore, and reggae. In 2006 the band went on a brief hiatus and returned in 2009 to outstanding demand. The band has released 3 albums, “M is For Murder”, “Slacktivist Swing”, and “Skalluminati” and is gearing up for the release of their 4th album “¡Matamoska!” Via Badtime Records in 2024. In the almost 23 years of the bands life they’ve traveled to Mexico, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and France for short successful tours and opened up for the likes of Reel Big Fish, Los Pericos, Inspector, Ska-P, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Hepcat and such other legacy acts within the international ska scene. The band has also toured domestically throughout the United States and opened up for bands like Big D and The Kids Table, Mustard Plug and The Slackers.
